I bought 2013 VW Golf TSI 3 month ago. Has had daily heavy condensation on the inside of windows whenever damp or rainy outside. This in my mind is unacceptable in a newish car. Cars I had in the 1980s maybe but not 2017. Have I right to reject if the dealer cannot fix. ?
Hi Jim. It’s probably a tricky one to pursue via the Consumer Rights Act to reject the vehicle. While it may be “in your mind unacceptable”, the Act is more directed at faulty vehicles (which is not necessarily the same thing as a car with a fault).
The condensation may be annoying, but unless it is stopping you driving the car from A to B then it will be difficult to argue that the car should be rejected.
