Hi, I ed a few weeks back regarding rejecting a new Ford Ka. We have rejected the car through finance under the Consumer Rights Act of 2015. The car has had the heater matrix replaced and the air conditioning took apart but have been told that it has still not fixed the problem.
Ford Technical are now coming to look at the car on the 20th of October. We took ownership of this car on the 23rd of January from new and it went into the Ford dealership on the 19th of July where it has stayed ever since. That is 91 days so far. Between Ford, the dealership and the finance company we are just getting passed around constantly.
Even tho we have officially rejected the vehicle, the dealership has said they are giving us it back. We have told them under no circumstances are we taking it back. Is there a way around this. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi Keith. The dealership is not obliged to accept your rejection and can dispute it.
The next steps are either the government’s scheme, or engage a solicitor and begin legal action to reject the vehicle.
